The day began at 4:30am.
Sunrise came and went at 5:50am, still no SLS. Originally targeted for 5:30 first movement.
NASA's Launch Complex 39B, where the Space Launch System will soar spaceward from.
There it is, first movement at 8:45am as SLS' Core Stage begins to move off the Pegasus barge.
SLS is hailing from Stennis Space Center in Bay St Louis, Mississippi. There, it completed two Green Run static test fires.
The first in January 2021 was shorter than expected, at just 67 seconds. The second in March was full duration and gave the Boeing and NASA teams all the data they needed.
There it is, SLS was fully back on solid ground at 10am.
Now begins the trek to the Vehicle Assembly Building where it will be prepared for final integration, testing, and launch of the Artemis 1 mission.

At the bottom, you can see (nominal) charring on the cork aft section of SLS.
When SLS launches, these sections will be refurbished to be white in color.
Much like the white skirt above it.
SLS did a bit of a spin to be able to go head-first into the VAB for processing.
Spin complete, now for the final leg of the journey.
